We classify cable into the following categories:
- PVC cable copper
- Pearl cable
- PVC cable aluminium
- Ground cable
Copper cable
PVC copper cable consists of thin and thick cables with one or more copper core(s). A standard or average PVC cable should have at least 38% copper content. The PVC copper cable price depends on the copper price and copper content (copper percentage) of the cable or wire.
Pearl cable
PVC cable with a higher copper content (minimum 68%) which makes stripping (stripping the sheath) profitable. The purchase price is also based on copper content and price. It is higher than PVC cable.
PVC cable aluminium
An aluminium cable has instead of one or more copper core(s), one or more aluminium core(s). The price in this case is therefore determined by the percentage of aluminium present.
Ground cable
"Dirty cable" sheathed, with grease paper, grease lead or iron bitumen. The copper cores are also greasy and fall under mixed copper as procurement (stripped). Because this ground cable has a so-called earth screen of, for example, steel wire or a lead jacket, it needs a different process of decommissioning. The cable is stiffer, heavier and does not bend as easily. We have a lot of experience in buying up and recycling ground cable. For you, this means good returns and you get good service.
Old cables price
We give you a fair price for your cables and are always transparent about this. The current daily prices of your cables are usually determined by the percentage of materials in the cables and the London Metal Exchange (LME) exchange rate. Curious about the current daily price?
